Fatal Bucks County shooting death of Yuan Yuan Lu – Obituary
Yuan Yuan Lu was fatally shot in Levittown, Bucks County, after a domestic dispute escalated tragically. Authorities say she was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the driver’s seat of her car on Outlook Lane, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police report that the suspect, identified as her former partner, turned himself in the following day with an attorney. Officials described a troubled domestic relationship, noting that Lu and the suspect had previously lived together in Philadelphia. Investigators say the relationship had deteriorated, leading Lu to return to her Bucks County residence.
Court records indicate that hours before her death, Lu had reported a sexual assault by the suspect to Philadelphia police. She had ended the relationship, packed her belongings, and blocked him, citing fear of his behavior and the fact he carried a firearm.
Evidence shows the suspect stalked Lu’s vehicle early Sunday morning before confronting her. Surveillance footage captured her driving while the suspect’s car followed. According to statements, the suspect claimed he attempted to scare her with a gun, which then discharged.
Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan called the incident a “chilling course of conduct” and emphasized the deadly consequences of domestic violence. The suspect was arraigned and denied bail.
