Fatal Jefferson County crash death of Aaron Bottorff – Obituary

Aaron Bottorff, 51, of La Grande, Oregon, died Sunday afternoon following a head-on collision on Highway 97, authorities reported. The Oregon State Police confirmed the crash occurred shortly after 4 p.m. near milepost 102 in Jefferson County.

According to investigators, Bottorff was driving a Subaru Forester northbound when, for reasons still under investigation, he veered into the southbound lane and collided with a Jeep Cherokee. Bottorff was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jeep’s driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
