Fatal Akron shooting death of Daivan Floyd – Obituary

Daivan Floyd, 28, was killed in a shooting Tuesday morning in Akron. Authorities from the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and Akron Police Department are investigating the incident.

Police and EMS were called around 10:30 a.m. to a home on the 500 block of Nash Street. Upon arrival, first responders found Floyd on the living room floor with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have not released information about a suspect or motive, and the investigation is ongoing. Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
