Fatal Vacaville shooting death of Davion Calvin – Obituary

Davion Calvin, 24, of Vacaville, California, was killed Monday morning after being shot in an apartment, police reported. Officers responded around 10:49 a.m. to a residence in the 100 block of Peabody Road, near Interstate 80, where they found Calvin with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Vacaville police have classified the case as a homicide, marking the city’s first this year. Authorities have not released information on any suspects but stated the shooting does not appear to be random and poses no ongoing threat to the community. Investigators continue to actively pursue leads.

Calvin, known to friends and family as Vallejo rap artist Lil Scoopy 1800, had shared in past interviews his aspirations for success and a message to youth encouraging education and resisting street pressures. His death has left the local community mourning the loss of the young artist.
