Fatal Covington County, Mississippi car crash death of Hurl Booth Jr. – Obituary

Authorities have identified the man who died following a two-vehicle collision that occurred over the weekend in Covington County. Hurl Booth Jr., 95, of Collins, succumbed to injuries he sustained in the crash, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

The collision happened shortly after noon on Saturday along U.S. Highway 84. Investigators said a 2004 Dodge Ram traveling westbound collided with a 2008 Ford Escape that was heading east.

Both the driver and passenger of the Ford Escape were transported to a hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed that Booth, who was a passenger in the Escape, later died as a result of his injuries.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
