Jaheed Sharp, 18, was killed in an overnight shooting last week in north St. Louis. Police responded shortly after 1:30 a.m. to the 1200 block of Peggy Court in the Baden neighborhood following reports of gunfire.

Officers initially could not locate the victim but later found Sharp inside a home with a gunshot wound. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police detectives are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and searching for potential suspects. Sharp’s death marks the 11th homicide in the city this year, matching the number recorded at this time last year.
