Fatal Dayton shooting death of Jaime Dick – Obituary

Jaime Dick, 33, was killed in a shooting early Tuesday morning in Dayton. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire on the 4700 block of Queens Avenue around 2 a.m.

According to a 911 call obtained by local news, a man urged dispatchers to respond quickly, admitting he had shot his girlfriend multiple times. When officers arrived, Dick was found with several gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed her identity on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man present at the scene was taken into custody. Dayton Police Lieutenant Eric Sheldon stated that the victim and the suspect were in a domestic relationship.

The Dayton Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
