A man has died following a serious motorcycle accident in Harker Heights, and authorities have now released his identity. The Harker Heights Police Department said the victim was 29-year-old Kristopher Daniels of Killeen.

Police stated that the crash occurred early Friday morning, February 6, on Pontotoc Trace. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene around 2:04 a.m. after reports of a motorcycle collision. When officers arrived, they found Daniels pinned beneath his motorcycle. He was unconscious and not breathing at the time.

Officers immediately began lifesaving efforts until paramedics arrived. Daniels was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical condition. Police later confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries later that day.

According to a preliminary investigation, Daniels was traveling westbound on Pontotoc Trace when he left the roadway for reasons that have not yet been determined. Police said the motorcycle struck a chain-link fence before colliding with two pickup trucks. Daniels was thrown from the motorcycle and became trapped underneath it.
