Valeria Peden, 95, lost her life in a house fire on Bunch Road in Cave City, Kentucky, Tuesday evening, officials confirmed. The blaze occurred at her residence, and emergency responders pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Peden’s remains were sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Louisville for further examination.
