Cash Justin Krawetz, 16, of Montara, was killed Monday in a collision involving his electric motorcycle and a box truck in Half Moon Bay, California. The crash occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Highway 1 near Terrance Avenue. Emergency responders transported Krawetz to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities reported that Krawetz had been traveling at a high speed along the freeway shoulder at the time of the crash. The electric bike was not street-legal and designed for off-road use. The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, and there was no indication of impairment. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
