Cynthia Stanford, a 62-year-old woman from Temple, lost her life in a single-vehicle collision near the intersection of Highway 317 and Airport Road in Bell County, Texas. The Temple Police Department confirmed that Stanford was the sole occupant of a white SUV that rolled over after leaving the roadway in northwest Temple on Monday afternoon.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched just before 3:30 p.m. on January 26 to investigate a crash involving a northbound SUV that veered off Highway 317 near Airport Road and flipped into a ditch. Responding officers found the overturned vehicle and determined that Stanford had suffered fatal injuries.

Traffic in the area was temporarily restricted while investigators from the Temple Police Department’s Traffic Unit worked the scene, gathering information about the circumstances that led to the rollover.
