Michael Shannon has died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The crash also left another pedestrian injured.

Deputies said the incident happened Sunday evening in the 13000 block of Jones Road, where Michael Shannon and Mack Quinn were walking when they were hit by a silver Toyota RAV4. Investigators reported that the driver did not stop to provide aid and fled the scene.

Both victims were rushed to a local hospital following the crash. Authorities later confirmed that Michael Shannon succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Mack Quinn remains hospitalized and is listed in stable condition.

Law enforcement officials are continuing to search for the driver and the suspect vehicle. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of the silver Toyota RAV4 or its driver to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-221-6000 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
