Hallie Tobler, a 22-year-old woman from St. Cloud, lost her life earlier this month in a stabbing incident allegedly involving her husband.

In her memory, the Central Minnesota Community Foundation has established the Hallie Marie Women in IT Scholarship Fund. The scholarship, created in February 2026, aims to support women pursuing careers in information technology.

The fund honors Tobler’s dedication to the IT field and her aspiration to contribute to critical public services. Tobler was working toward a bachelor’s degree in information technology with a focus on cybersecurity at Arizona State University. She was also the daughter of former St. Cloud City Council member Jeff Johnson.
