Fatal Calera shooting death of Jennifer Talley – Obituary

Jennifer Talley, a 23‑year‑old resident of Calera, was killed in a shooting at a North Calera residence Thursday night. Police have since charged a man in connection with her death.

Authorities with the Calera Police Department were called to a home on The Heights Drive shortly after the incident on Feb. 12. When officers arrived, they located Talley suffering from a gunshot wound and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators quickly identified a suspect and took Noah Hendricks into custody in Clanton. He is now facing a murder charge and has been booked into the Shelby County Jail as the case continues to unfold.

Officials indicated the shooting stemmed from issues within a domestic relationship and reminded the public of available victim support services. Police encouraged anyone experiencing domestic violence to reach out to law enforcement for assistance.
