Kenneth Dombroskie, 53, has been confirmed as the victim of a homicide following a tent fire earlier this week in St. Catharines, Niagara Regional Police reported. Authorities discovered a large, active blaze involving a tent at Mountain Locks Park along Merritt Trail on Tuesday morning.

The Niagara Regional Police Service’s criminal investigative branch, along with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office, launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire. On Friday, investigators announced that evidence indicated the incident was the result of foul play.

Police continue to seek information from the public and encourage anyone with details to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
