Michelle Carolina Cantos, 23, from New Hampshire, died Friday after losing control of her snowmobile in Jackman, Maine.

The Maine Warden Service responded to a report of a potential snowmobile accident around 11:45 a.m. and found Cantos at the scene, where she was pronounced dead. She had been riding fourth in a group of five family members and friends traveling north. Officials believe her lack of experience contributed to the crash, according to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
