Fatal Saluda County, S.C. car crash death of Brayan Rosales Gomez – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed the identity of a teenager who lost his life in a vehicle accident Tuesday evening in Saluda County.

According to Saluda County Coroner Angie Rita, the victim was 17-year-old Brayan Rosales Gomez, a resident of Saluda.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that Gomez was driving northbound on South Carolina Highway 121 near Lennies Lane shortly after 8 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway.

After veering off the road, the vehicle entered a ditch, flipped over, and then collided with a tree. Following the impact, the vehicle caught fire.

Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
