Fatal Henry County rollover death of Kyler Rugg – Obituary

Kyler Rugg, 17, a senior at WACO High School in Iowa, was killed Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover on Franklin Avenue in Henry County. The crash occurred around 1:38 p.m. after Rugg’s car lost control navigating a curve and rolled multiple times.

Rugg, who was the sole occupant and not wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he was pronounced dead. The school district has offered additional counseling support to help students and the community cope with the loss of the promising young student.
