Fatal Berkeley County, S.C. auto-pedestrian crash death of Jeaniettra Avonne Jones – Obituary

Jeaniettra Avonne Jones, 34, lost her life early Friday morning following a hit-and-run collision in Bonneau, authorities confirmed.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 2:18 a.m. along Highway 52 near Illion Lane. Investigators reported that an unidentified vehicle struck Jones while she was in the roadway. The driver did not remain at the scene and has not yet been located.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office stated that Jones suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the location of the crash.

Both the coroner’s office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision as they work to identify the vehicle involved.
