Fatal Hattiesburg pedestrian death of Gerald Bell – Obituary

Gerald Bell, 69, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was killed Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 49. Forrest County Coroner Lisa Klem confirmed on Saturday that Bell succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash near the intersection of Highway 49 and West Pine Street around 8:30 p.m.

Bell was taken to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead after the severity of his injuries. The driver involved stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
