Julia Rooney, a middle school student and cheerleader at Woodland Heights Middle School, died in a golf cart accident in Mooresville, North Carolina, authorities confirmed.

The Mooresville Police Department reported that the crash occurred in a residential neighborhood and involved several children riding in the golf cart. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
