Fatal Wilmington shooting death of Ryan Evans – Obituary

Ryan Evans, 19, of Newark, was killed March 24 in an afternoon shooting in Wilmington’s West Center City neighborhood. The attack, which occurred around 2:20 p.m. near Seventh and Adams streets, also claimed the life of 21-year-old Wahkee Tabron, also from Newark, and left four others injured.

Officers responding to the scene found Evans and Tabron critically wounded. Both were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Two additional victims, a 36-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, remain in critical condition. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this deadly shooting.
