Fatal Upper Saucon Township, Pennsylvania car crash death of Brian McKenna – Obituary

A tragic multi-vehicle collision in Upper Saucon Township claimed the life of 62-year-old Brian McKenna on Sunday morning, while leaving three others injured, according to officials.

Authorities said emergency calls reporting the crash came in just before 11 a.m., with the incident unfolding along the 3300 block of Center Valley Parkway between West Saucon Valley Circle and Corporate Parkway West.

Investigators determined that McKenna was driving a 2020 Tesla westbound when, for reasons still under review, the vehicle crossed over the concrete median into oncoming traffic. The Tesla then collided with several eastbound vehicles, triggering a chain-reaction crash involving seven vehicles and a total of 10 մարդկանց.

When first responders arrived, multiple damaged vehicles were scattered across the roadway. McKenna was found trapped inside his vehicle and had to be freed by police officers. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials confirmed that McKenna, a resident of Bethlehem associated with Lower Saucon Township, died from blunt-force injuries. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office ruled the manner of death accidental following an autopsy conducted the next day.

Three other individuals involved in the crash sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals, though updates on their conditions were not immediately released.

The roadway was temporarily shut down as crews worked to remove debris and investigators examined the scene. Multiple agencies are continuing to review evidence, witness accounts, and vehicle data to determine the full sequence of events leading up to the crash.

Authorities extended their sympathies to McKenna’s loved ones as the investigation remains ongoing.
