Fatal Spokane shooting death of Dylan Bundy-Gray – Obituary
Dylan Bundy-Gray, 44, a local boxing coach, was shot and killed Sunday morning outside his home on Wellesley Avenue in Spokane, Washington. Authorities say the incident occurred around 7 a.m. while Bundy-Gray was intervening to protect a woman from harassment by two teenagers.
Court documents allege that 16-year-old Onyx Deligt fired five to six shots during the confrontation, striking Bundy-Gray and injuring his friend in the hand. Neighbors reported seeing Bundy-Gray alive when police arrived, but he later died from his injuries. The attack shocked the community, with residents expressing disbelief over the violence.
During a court hearing, a victim advocate read a letter from Bundy-Gray’s wife, describing her grief as a widow and sole parent of their four children. His brother, Ian, called for justice while emphasizing that Dylan will be remembered as a hero in Spokane. Deligt is scheduled for arraignment on March 31, facing charges of murder and assault.
