Authorities in La Salle County have confirmed that 32-year-old Carlos L. Garcia Jr. of Berwyn lost his life following a serious crash involving two semi-trucks.

The driver of the second semi-truck was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. An autopsy was completed on March 28, though additional forensic and toxicology testing is still underway.
