The Milford Police Department has confirmed the identity of the man who died in a single-vehicle accident on March 27. Tyler Wilson, 32, was the sole occupant of the Jeep Liberty involved in the crash.
According to authorities, the vehicle was traveling northbound on North Street at 7:10 a.m. when it struck a parked car for reasons still under investigation, then veered off the road and hit an electrical pole. The Jeep caught fire, and responding officers pulled Wilson from the vehicle.
Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. North Street was closed for over two hours while crews investigated the scene and repaired the damaged pole. Police continue to investigate the crash and are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact S/Cpl. C. Jackson or Delaware Crime Stoppers.
