Fatal Tucson, AZ crash death of John Forrest May – Obituary

John Forrest May, 62, has been identified as the driver who died following a two-truck collision on Wednesday, April 1, at the intersection of West Grant Road and North 15th Avenue in Tucson, Arizona.

According to Tucson Police, May was driving a Ram 1500 truck westbound on Grant Road when a Chevrolet Silverado, attempting to turn left from eastbound Grant Road onto northbound 15th Avenue, failed to yield and struck his vehicle. May was transported to a hospital where he later died. The Silverado driver was not injured but was arrested for causing death by a moving violation.

Investigators from the Impaired Driving Enforcement Unit confirmed that the Silverado driver was not under the influence at the time of the crash. Police determined the failure to yield while turning was the primary factor in the collision.
