Eric Eugene Goosby, 48, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in connection with the death of his girlfriend in north Houston, authorities reported. The arrest occurred on Hussion Street following an investigation by the Houston Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Office.
Police stated that the 50-year-old female victim, whose identity has not been released, was found unresponsive on March 29 after officers responded to a “person down” call. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots around 9 p.m. and saw Goosby leaving the scene alone, leading investigators to identify him as the suspect.
Goosby is charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting. The case remains under investigation as authorities continue gathering details surrounding the incident.
