Fatal Napa County crash death of Katrina Clarke – Obituary
Katrina Clarke, 65, of Sacramento, was killed in a severe collision on March 28 in Napa Valley, according to authorities. The crash occurred on Silverado Trail in unincorporated Napa County and also claimed the lives of Vivian Bertolino, 65, and Linda Wolters, 62, both residents of Napa.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash began when a Mitsubishi sedan driven by 68-year-old William Dene Brumley sideswiped a BMW SUV traveling southbound. Losing control, Brumley’s car collided head-on with a Toyota sedan carrying four passengers. Emergency crews transported those occupants to the hospital, where one later died. Another passenger in Brumley’s vehicle died at the scene, and a second succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
Brumley, who was also injured, was arrested at the hospital and faces charges of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. The collision left six people injured and forced authorities to close the road for six hours while the scene was investigated.
The case remains under active investigation, with authorities continuing to review details of the fatal chain of events.
