Tykevious D. Russaw, 27, of Eufaula, was among four individuals who lost their lives following a police pursuit that ended in a devastating crash in Pike County, Alabama.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred late Friday night when Russaw was attempting to evade an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency state trooper along a rural roadway in the southeastern part of the county. During the pursuit, the 2022 Hyundai Elantra he was driving left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Officials stated that Russaw and two of his passengers were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle upon impact. A fourth passenger remained inside the car, but all four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The passengers were identified as 27-year-old Robert D. Hall and 24-year-old Quamay Richardson, both from Clayton. A 17-year-old passenger was also killed, though their identity has not been released.

Authorities have not disclosed what led to the attempted traffic stop, and the crash remains under active investigation.
