Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in the Town of Williamson. Michael Krochmalech, 29, of Williamson, was killed when his pickup truck crashed along Hamilton Street.
According to New York State Police, the incident took place on March 27 at around 7 p.m., when emergency responders were dispatched to the area near 7637 Hamilton Street following reports of a crash.
Preliminary findings indicate that Krochmalech was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger northbound when he failed to maintain control while navigating a curve. The vehicle veered off the road and collided head-on with a tree.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced Krochmalech dead at the scene. Officials say the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is still ongoing.
