Fatal San Antonio shooting death of Sally Vasquez – Obituary
Sally Vasquez, 40, was fatally shot during a drive-by incident in San Antonio last week. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed she succumbed to injuries sustained from gunfire.
Authorities responded to a home near Aaron Place and Burton Avenue shortly after 12:45 a.m. on April 3, following reports of shots fired. Police said a white Toyota Prius drove past the residence and opened fire, sending several bullets into the house.
One of the rounds penetrated a wall and struck Vasquez in the head, causing her death. Five other occupants were in the home at the time but were unharmed. Police interviewed those individuals as witnesses.
Neighbors described the neighborhood as unsafe, noting unusual late-night activity, including unfamiliar cars coming and going and individuals carrying items like backpacks.
