Fatal South Fulton shooting death of Charlie Brown – Obituary
Charlie Brown, 32, was killed following a confrontation at an apartment complex on Waycrest Drive in South Fulton on April 7. Authorities have identified Veronica Johnson as a person of interest in connection with the incident.
Police responded around 4:30 p.m. to reports of a shooting near the 7000 building of 1925 Waycrest Drive, finding Brown critically wounded. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators report that Brown had been involved in an argument with Johnson moments before he was shot. Two others seen with Johnson were also present but are not reported to have been involved in the shooting. Details about the motive or any recovered weapon have not been released.
The South Fulton Police Department is asking anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts or the events leading to the shooting to contact them or Crime Stopper Atlanta. The investigation remains ongoing.
