Fatal Long Beach hit-and-run death of Heaven Hooper – Obituary
Heaven Hooper, 49, was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Long Beach over the weekend.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday near Ninth Street and Fashion Avenue. Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department transported Hooper to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Investigators reported that a white Toyota Tacoma traveling westbound on Ninth Street hit Hooper outside of a crosswalk and fled the scene. Police are asking anyone with information about the driver to contact detectives at (562) 570-7355 as the investigation continues.
