Fatal Dillon County death of Lorenzo Jones – Obituary
Lorenzo Jones, wanted in connection with a March 23 shooting at the 41 Grocery near Grady Road in Marion County, South Carolina, was found dead on April 1 along Sugar Hill Road in Dillon County. Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley confirmed his death, and his body was sent to the Medical University of South Carolina for an autopsy.
Jones had been sought by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office for the deadly shooting earlier in March. The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation by the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon County Coroner’s Office, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
