Fatal DC pedestrian accident death of Luis Alberto Cespedes-Corrales – Obituary
Luis Alberto Cespedes-Corrales, 27, from Dumfries, was killed on April 3 after being struck by a vehicle on I-295 near the Suitland Parkway exit in Southeast Washington, D.C. According to authorities, Cespedes-Corrales was standing on the solid white line between the right lane and the shoulder when he stepped into traffic and was hit by a white 2021 Toyota 4-Runner.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 7:44 p.m., but Cespedes-Corrales was pronounced dead at the location. The driver remained at the scene, cooperated with police, and called 911. Officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Metropolitan Police Department via phone or text tip line.
