Authorities in Los Angeles County have confirmed the identity of a pedestrian who lost his life after being struck in a hit-and-run incident in Northridge. Deondre Deloatch, 29, was pronounced dead following the collision that occurred earlier in the week.

According to law enforcement reports, the incident took place near the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and White Oak Avenue in the evening hours. A vehicle traveling eastbound on Roscoe Boulevard struck Deloatch while he was on the roadway. Officials stated that the pedestrian was dragged a short distance before becoming separated from the vehicle.

Emergency responders transported Deloatch to a nearby hospital after the driver failed to stop at the scene. Despite medical efforts, he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department indicated that the driver of a gray Honda Accord continued driving eastbound without rendering aid or remaining at the scene. The case remains under investigation, and authorities are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant details.
