Oscar Garcia, 55, lost his life following a multi-vehicle collision in Anthony, Texas that occurred at a busy intersection and led to a major police investigation.
Authorities said Oscar Garcia dies in fatal Anthony, Texas car crash after a chain-reaction collision at the junction of FM 1905 and Wildcat Drive. Investigators reported that a Tesla traveling eastbound along FM 1905 approached the intersection at the same time a Ford passenger vehicle headed westbound attempted a left turn onto Wildcat Drive.
Officials stated that the turning Ford failed to give right of way, resulting in a violent impact with the Tesla. The force of the collision pushed both vehicles into two additional cars nearby, escalating the incident into a multi-vehicle crash.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported Garcia to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Law enforcement confirmed that his next of kin has been notified.
Authorities from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Special Traffic Investigators have taken over the case. The intersection was closed while crews documented the scene and began reconstructing the crash.
