The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that 31-year-old Everardo Aparicio Zaragoza of Lamont was found fatally shot in a vehicle on October 4, 2024. According to the coroner, Zaragoza was discovered unresponsive in the 8700 block of Paradise Road at approximately 8 a.m.

He had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound, and the manner of death has been classified as a homicide. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the case.
