Fatal Howard County shooting death of Tyree Winslow – Obituary

Tyree Winslow, 29, of College Park, was killed on November 30, 2024, during an exchange of gunfire with Howard County Police officers. Officers had responded to a domestic incident at a home on American Pharoah Lane in Laurel.

Winslow had allegedly fired shotgun rounds at the front door and entered the house through a window. Despite being ordered to surrender, he engaged in a gunfight with police.

After a barricade situation, officers found him with gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene. Several firearms and a knife were discovered near his body. No other injuries were reported.
