Fatal Soda Springs crash death of Emma Vario – Obituary.

On April 27, 2025, a tragic crash occurred on Government Dam Road, north of Soda Springs, when a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old male veered off the road.

Emma Vario, 17, from Soda Springs, was one of the passengers in the car and died at the scene. The crash took place around 1:30 a.m., and alcohol was determined to be a factor in the incident.

The driver, whose identity remains undisclosed, was not injured, though he was the only one wearing a seatbelt. Two other passengers were hospitalized, one via airlift and the other by ground ambulance. The Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
