Fatal South Bibb motorcycle crash death of David Christopher Lewis – Obituary

On the morning of Tuesday, April 29, 2025, a tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of 40-year-old David Christopher Lewis of Warner Robins. The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Highway 247 at Allen Road when Lewis was riding his Harley-Davidson northbound on Hawkinsville Road. The collision happened as the driver of a Chevrolet Avalanche, 42-year-old, was turning left from a gas station onto Hawkinsville Road.

Lewis was declared dead at the scene, while the driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing. Traffic on Hawkinsville Road was briefly halted during the investigation but has since resumed.
