Albert Johnson dies in fatal Franklin County crash

Fatal Franklin County crash death of Albert Johnson – Obituary

Albert Johnson, a 47-year-old resident of Chambersburg, lost his life Saturday night in a crash involving the lawn mower he was operating in Greene Township, Franklin County. The collision took place at approximately 8:40 p.m. along the 500 block of Kohler Road.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Johnson was driving east on Kohler Road in rainy conditions without appropriate lighting on his lawn mower when a Dodge Journey, also heading east, struck the back of the mower.

The impact caused Johnson to be thrown from the vehicle, landing in a nearby field. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge sustained only minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for medical care. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the tragic incident.
