Rashida Dash dies in fatal Berkeley County car crash

Fatal Berkeley County car crash death of Rashida Dash – Obituary

Rashida Z. Dash, 38, of Goose Creek, has been identified as the woman who lost her life in a solo vehicle accident early Friday morning on North Highway 17A.

Authorities report that Dash was behind the wheel of a 2017 Chevrolet sedan heading south on the highway when the vehicle collided with a tree around 4:14 a.m. Investigators noted that Dash was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact.

A second person in the vehicle was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for medical care. The individual’s condition has not been disclosed to the public.

Responders from Berkeley County EMS, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and East Berkeley Fire & Rescue all attended the crash scene. The incident is still under review by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
