Fatal Mobile County shooting death of Jaylon Rivers – Obituary

Jaylon Rivers, 19, of Mobile County, was fatally shot early Sunday morning following an altercation. Mobile County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident on Tom Hopkins Road at around 1:51 a.m., where they found two individuals with gunshot wounds.

Rivers, after being taken to a home by a family member, succumbed to his injuries. A juvenile involved in the altercation was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

Witnesses reported that the dispute began at a nearby graduation party and escalated to a violent confrontation. Authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation continues as they seek additional information.
