Fatal Roanoke shooting death of Hunter Kendrick Orlando – Obituary

Authorities in Roanoke, Virginia, have confirmed the arrest of Thomas Dewayne Delp in connection with a deadly shooting.

Police initially announced Delp, 38, as the prime suspect and issued a second-degree murder warrant following the May 9, 2025 incident. Officers were called to the 1300 block of Jamison Avenue SE at approximately 4:09 a.m. after reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered 27-year-old Hunter Kendrick Orlando lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later, another man was found at Fallon Park suffering from a minor gunshot injury believed to be tied to the same incident. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
