MANHATTAN, NEW YORK — Miguel Jiraud, a 30-year-old resident of East Harlem, was arrested in Manhattan on Friday and charged with attempted murder following a brutal attack on a woman found unconscious on a bike path on Randall’s Island.

According to the NYPD, Jiraud was tracked using his ankle monitor after he allegedly assaulted 44-year-old Diana Agudelo on May 16 around 11:30 p.m. Agudelo suffered a skull fracture and multiple facial fractures and was found unresponsive the next day. She remains in critical condition in a coma.
