Shannon, Mississippi Man Arrested in Lee County for Double Homicide

SHANNON, MISSISSIPPI — An unidentified resident of Shannon, Mississippi, was arrested in Lee County in connection with a double homicide discovered on May 23.

According to Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson, deputies responded around 3:30 p.m. to a report that led them to a home on County Road 295 in the Shannon area. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the property owner and resident, initiating a search of the premises.

During the search, authorities discovered two deceased individuals. The resident was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect was transported to a local detention facility and is currently facing charges related to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
