Fatal Amboy farm accident death of Douglas Harold Sanders – Obituary

Douglas Harold Sanders, 68, of Amboy, Minnesota, was killed on Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2025, in a tragic farm-related incident currently under investigation by authorities.

Just after 4:00 p.m., emergency responders were called to a property on 100th Street in rural Amboy where Sanders was found unresponsive beneath a large agricultural tire. Investigators believe Sanders was attempting to move a heavy sprayer tire, weighing several hundred pounds, inside his machine shed when he became trapped between it and a planter.

The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to look into the details of the incident, with support from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
