Fatal Lincoln County car crash death of Allison M. Jones – Obituary

Allison M. Jones, 26, of Merrill, Wisconsin, lost her life following a single-vehicle accident that occurred early Sunday in Lincoln County, authorities confirmed.

The crash happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Highway 107 near Big Hill Drive. A deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department came across the wrecked vehicle, which had veered off the road and struck a tree.

Jones sustained critical injuries in the crash and was transported to Aspirus Hospital in Merrill, where she later died. A 24-year-old male passenger was also injured but has since been released from the hospital. His identity has not been disclosed.

The driver, identified as 22-year-old Jurnee R. Robertson from Irma, was hospitalized and later taken into custody. She faces a preliminary charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
